Biological laboratory

Babolna Bio has established its Biological Laboratory in 1973. The main task of the laboratory is to test the efficacy of new active ingredients, trial formulations, and the products manufactured and distributed by Babolna Bio, but also to undertake contract works.

The laboratory is testing the toxicity, efficacy, palatibility of different formulations. Knock-down, repellency and attractivity are also tested and in addition baiting stations, glue boards and different other traps can be assessed too.

The Biological Laboratory is divided into two main sections: the Rodent and the Insect Test Laboratories with the adjoining facilities of breeding, preparative, washing etc. rooms.

The toxicity, efficacy, palatibility, semi-field and field trials on rodenticides are all carried out in line with the EC’s „TNsG Efficacy Evaluation of Rodenticides (Product Type 14) - Product Evaluation” and the ”EPPO guideline PP1/113 for the efficacy of rodenticides”.

The Insect Test Laboratory is capable of testing a number of different formulations and a number of different insect species. Insects are continuosly bred by Babolna Bio and this permits to carry out the trials throughout the year.

With an experience of more than 40 years, Babolna Bio’s Pest Control Servicing Division is in a position to carry out rodent and insect field trials with utmost professionalism. Supervision to these trials is given by the laboratory experts. Bed bug and black garden ant field trials represent the specific part of the trials.

The many decade long experience and the daily routine of the Biological Laboratory makes it possible to undertake different trials on a contract basis too. These studies are always carried out under strict confidentiality.

Babolna Bio has been approved for ISO 9001 and ISO14001 and the Biological Laboratory works accordingly.
